PARADISE COSTA RICA OFFERS PROXIMITY TO SOME OF THE MOST
BEAUTIFUL AND SECLUDED BEACHES IN CENTRAL AMERICA
COSTA RICA (16 October 2007) - How does one define Paradise?
At Paradise Costa Rica, a two-villa luxury vacation rental property nestled in the coastal mountain rainforest of South Central Costa Rica, paradise can take any of a number of forms.
For many visitors, one of the most important features that defines a tropical paradise is the quality of the beaches…
and nowhere are they more beautiful than in the region surrounding the charming village of Dominical, Costa Rica.
The Dominical area is dotted with one beach after another, one more enchanting than the next! The sounds you
hear, besides those of the gentle ocean waves, are those of the rainforest. The views are spectacular, and ocean
water temperature year-’round is a comfortable not-too-hot, not-too-cold 85 degrees
Dominical beach is a long straight beach near the mouth of the Baru River, and is considered one of the very best surfing beaches in
Costa Rica, if not the Western Hemisphere. Casual restaurants, convenience stores, and youth hostels catering
primarily to young adults are found within a short walk of this beach. Surf boards are available for rent or purchase,
as well as lessons from novice level through advanced.
Dominicalito beach is crescent shaped, roughly three-quarters of a mile long. Its fine black volcanic sand is delightful underfoot, picture
perfect, with the tropical rainforest just meters away from the beach’s edge. Nightfall (6 p.m. all year ’round) treats
visitors to the most spectacular sunsets over the ocean; the sky lights up with intense shades of orange, pink,
azure and violet, as the sun dips below the horizon.
The beaches at Bahia Ballena National Park are unique, thanks to a low tide sand bar that leads from the coast to a chain of tiny connected islands in the
shape of a whale’s tail. As the Costa Rican coastline near Dominical is one of the few spots in the world where the
territories of both Arctic and Antarctic whales overlap, it’s common to spot them just off-shore. Views outward to
the ocean and back toward the mainland, with the rainforest and lush mountains behind, are truly one of a kind.
Ventanas (“windows” in Spanish) beach is a gorgeous crescent beach, with the special feature of natural tunnels under cliffs on one side. At high
tide, the ocean waves crash through the tunnels and as the tide lowers, the waves recede providing a unique
opportunity to explore with delight as voices echo off cave walls to compete with the sound of the waves entering
from the ocean side. This beautiful, protected beach is bordered by a field of coconut palms; ensuring a constant
supply of fresh coconuts ready to open and reveal their sweet refreshing “milk” as well as their tasty and creamy “
meat.”
The beaches of the South Central Pacific Coast, just a few of which are described above, are within a 30-minute
drive of Paradise Costa Rica, presently consisting of two properties – the 3000+ square foot, 3-bedroom 3½ bath
Villa Mango and its slightly smaller sister villa, Casa Amigos. Paradise Costa Rica is owned and operated by Glen Love
and Youval Ballistra of Haverford, PA. Glen and Youval are currently planning an expansion for Paradise Costa Rica
on three additional properties in the Dominical area.
Offering exquisite landscaping, beautifully designed and furnished villas, and breathtaking ocean and rainforest
views, Paradise Costa Rica rentals begin at $375 per night (with a three-night minimum) and are available year-’
round during both the “dry” and “green” seasons. Housekeeping services, use of full-sized washer/dryer, Internet
access and many other amenities are included at no extra charge.
